Is anyone here using it (Wave 4)? There's some nice new features but some of the changes are questionable.

My biggest beef so far is that in Wave 3 you could edit photos (crop, etc) from the preview windows, but in Wave 4 you must add it to your 'photo library' first. Pretty lame, and making me consider switching to something else, but the only real alternative I know of is Picasa.

I like the new messenger and have loved Live Mesh since it was in beta like 1 and a half years ago. Now that it's stable, I'll introduce it to my friends :)

I haven't installed the picture application though, I don't deal with any pictures at all really.

I like WLPG. Never noticed the editing issue, but anything I care to edit is in my library. The Facial recognition works pretty well.

They really need to add native support for camera RAW formats. It's stupid that we should have to download 'codecs' for them, especially since essentially none of the manufacturers have cared to develop 64-bit codecs.

It would be nice, but MS isn't going to take on the burden of supporting all of the various RAW formats from all of the different manufacturers. The only audio codec they've developed is WMA, which is barely supported by any audio devices, so why would they waste time implementing image codecs? If your manufacturer hasn't supported 64-bit Windows then bitch at them, there the ones that you've given hundreds of dollars to for their hardware.

Yeah, it's just a gripe. I'd like to see it implemented the same way manufacturers certify their hardware device drivers, and then submit them for Windows Update.

You're right though, I'm off to send scathing emails to both Pentax and Canon about the fact.
