Kids today are too wussy to handle the awesome toys of yesteryear. They might poke an eye out or something

85 bucks for that piece of shit? Ouch. I still have my G1 Devastator in a box somewhere, and damn, that thing owned.

Not to mention that the build quality has gone way down. I bought my son a couple of transformers for his birthday last year, and the limbs came off like they were nothing while trying to transform them. Complete crap these days and a waste of money.

We got our 6YO one for Christmas at Costco. It seems much more rugged and cost a lot less. He loves Transformers and was geeked when he open this gift. He actually asked Santa to help him read quicker since he loves comic books. We got him some Transformers comics and he carries those everywhere.

I've bought my son several of the Transformers from the G1s to the cartoon version to the movie versions. They all have the same problem...overly complicated to transform. Yeah, this allows for certain things with the robot and car forms but when I have problems transforming them that means a 5-10 year old is too. Which doesn't make the toy fun.

With that and the constant rolling out of different waves, Transformers today seems more like it is aimed at the nerd collectors than it is at the kids wanting to play with them.

Toys have gone downhill as far as quality goes. All these crazy electronic stuff are nothing if it breaks within the first week.

Anyone remember the metal tonka trucks? Talk about durable!

Don't blame the kids. Blame their faggy parents who cry in the corner when little billy points his finger like a gun.

Yeah, they're plastic, poorly engineered pieces of crap. The things don't even fit together snuggly.

The original toys were engineering masterpieces.
