I purchase a new SSD Kingston A400 with 960Gb capacity and i have a serious problem with him.Under BIOS mode, is detected without any problem, but in windows mode, in disk management, it can t be displayed,it cannot be detected. Is defective 100% or something is wrong?
With my old Samsung 860 evo, i don't have any problem...I don't understand what happen. The new SSD is under warranty.
thanks in advance,

I would make a Linux boot USB and see if it shows up in disks. If it does format it with NTFS and go back to windows and it should be there to assign a drive letter to it.

Looks like you're using at least W10 which rules out the Windows driver issue besides the fact you're already running a single NVME.

The next thing that comes to mind is not enough PCIE lanes to support more than a single NVME.

Once again I would boot from a Linux USB and check to see if it shows up at all in the OS. Maybe clone your Windows install to the new drive and swap it from the EVO if there's not enough lanes available to support both drives at once.

Ok, my bad.... So, this is indeed a SATA not NVME. Different ballgame and rules.

Switching ports shouldn't make a difference but, it's good that it's showing up.

If you're unsure then run some tests on the drive and see. I would just copy a ton of data to it a few times and make sure the source / destination match in size / # of files. SSD's in general either work or don't for the most part. And when they die they don't do it gracefully they just stop working w/o warning.
