The new Porsche (997) GT2 Vs the Corvette Z06

This is a repost, and the video has been pretty thoroughly debunked. Something *SERIOUSLY* wrong with both that Vette, and the driving.

The 911GT2 should win, but it should be a close race.

"Working hard to eliminate wheelspin, 60 mph comes in 3.91 seconds, with the quarter-mile arriving in 12 seconds flat at 121.7 mph."

Does that add up with the atrocious showing in the Autocar video? No it does not, not even freaking close. *ANYONE* trying to get bleeding good times out of a Z06 that isn't broken will get wheelspin trying to find the balance, it's a hard thing to achieve. In the Autocar video, the Z06 just putters off from the line like a piece of shit.

With all due respect, even though the launch may not have been great in the corvette, it still got destroyed through the gears utpo 100Mph+ (or however fast they went) by the Porsche. Not just once, but four times.

Plus he drove both cars, and he hit good numbers in the Porsche, so his driving/shifting isn?t that bad. Even with poor shifting ? bearing in mind he only shifted poorly once ? the corvette should have still kept up with the Porsche somewhat, but it didn?t, not at all.

Maybe he struggled with the gear changes in the corvette because it was left hand drive, I don?t know.

Also, the bloke who drove the corvette is a pretty decent driver; at least that?s what it seems like from some of his other videos.

^^ Yeah, that just makes it even more suspicious. Looking at good numbers from respectable independent reviews (repeated within a couple tenths dozens of times), it should be a close race, with the GT2 FTW, but in the autocar review, it's like a Yugo vs. a Veyron. Just totally bogus.

At the VERY least, that's a busted Z06.

THe point is still the same, they rigged the race so the z06 would loose or the car is broken, this video is widely regarded as shenanigans

And again, yes the gt2 should win marginally , just not make the vette look like a broken flogged pos.

Yeah... definitely shens. The guy obviously can't shift. Maybe he has tendinitis from masturbating in the Porsche.
