He coded VBulletin?

Did the admins code fusetalk.. I think not.
Actually, they did. Zuni is one of the owners of Fusetalk, and he is constantly working on it. AT exclusively gets the new versions of the software often. p0wn3d, bitch!
So that is why they use fusetalk. I would have dropped the thing long ago. (Because of the price to features used.) Also I can now blame someone for the interface and how it some how seems to just get worse after every upgrade....

Yes, they've gotten SOOO much worst: http://web.archive.org/web/20001110061200/http://forums.anandtech.com/

I actually like that better. Sure the images could be better and the colors better, but it is not overly fancy.

For example, right now why in the hell do the buttons at the top need to be a gradiant? The don't even match the buttons to submit the reply.

I will give the fuse talk team a good job on the avatars. I hate custom ones and these look nice and do not distract you but still allow you to easly tell who wrote the reply with out looking at the name. (Well in the CD forum and such.)

You need to first logout. Then go to tool, option. Find your cookies. View the and find the ones for forums.anandtech.com (There will be two of them.) Delete these, and close firefox. Start it back up and login. Everything should work know.

Click on the profile button at the top. (If there is not one, you are not logged in.) Then select the tab personal options. (It does not look like a tab or button but you can click on it. ) The options are in there.

Also if you are not seeing the quick reply I figure you are not logged in. You might want to do what I just posted for someone else.

I've been through all the Profile Options already, nothing makes any difference. The only thing that gets the indented view back is to use IE 6 :disgust: after removing all temporary files and cookies.

Tried that with Opera, no joy. Bah.

[Edit] That's the "disgust" icon? Sob.

Right, I have the Quick Reply box now, but I STILL have non-indented replies. I'm not using IE6 to view AT Forums :(

Here's the rub with indented text:

IE 6 : works
MyIE2 : works
Firefox : works
Opera 7.23: broken as hell.

ARGH!

I am going to guess it's the CSS code they used, and it's some how not compatible with opera. I would have thought they would have tested it with opera. :(

Hmmmm... based on 3-5 posts up, I guess the endless quote-chains won't screw up the forum's format. It'll just scroll the original quote off the screen so you can't read it.
