the new firefox keeps crashing...

Hey,

So I installed the new firefox yesterday. Everything worked fine...until today. I tried opening firefox and it told me that it had crashed before it was even done loading. Now whenever I try to start it, the same thing happens. I tried restarting, uninstalling and re-installing, etc but nothing works. Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Thanks

use opera 🙂

try useing the last build you had that worked mabye something is fusked with the new one, also try posting on their forums

Something corrupted in your user directory? Try un-installing, then goto C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Mozilla and delete the whole directory. You'll lose your settings and bookmarks, etc. Re-install.

Remember, the program is still beta. 0.9 is a stable release now. I installed it this evening and like it so far...

Same thing happened to my, you have to delete the Mozilla and Pheonix directories in Appdata under your login. I didn't install it right, so that my be why it did it to me.

All I did was delete the existing Firefox 0.8 directory and moved the new unzipped Firefox 0.9 folder into the directory I always have kept it... having no problems so far, maybe it's just the install package that gives problems as I've never used it (never had to delete the profiles from appdata either).

Only thing I find wrong with this current release is no themes yet, if the person reading this created the pinball theme, get a move on, chop chop 🙂

I found that mine keeps crashing the instant that an image is loaded. I unchecked 'load images' in the options and it wouldn't crash, but the instant you check it, the browser bombed. Access violation or something, im at work and don't have the error here. I'm really hoping that this fix works when I get home, I don't know what I would do without my Firefox 🙁 and the new themes are soooo pretty.
