The 4.2-litre engine in the new S4 produces its maximum power of 253 kW (344 bhp) at 7000 rpm

I like it ! Looks a lot like the new B6 A4 family

Ugghhh, I need to clean my undies.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTIFUL. Simply MARVELOUS. Look at the interior!!! DROOOOOOOOL

<---makes body-thrusting moves around the room...😀

EDIT: Bangability Factor Number 9😉

To bad I will have close to $200k to pay off for school😀

yeah, those rumors are flying over at the S4 forum on audiworld.com

but i don't think they're true this time

The specs are probably accurate (and have been long rumoured/reported), but the picture do seem pretty photochopped. Probably an A4 with the current S4's wheels, matched lower panels, and aluminum side mirrors. The interior picture doesn't even correspond to text ("three-spoke sports steering wheel" vs the 4 spoke in the picture).

too bad it's an Audi

Blasphemy! you shall die a horrible death! Dragon Master, go strike him by the head!

anyway, on the other hand, IMHO Audi is not doing the right thing: instead of improving the 2.7tt, they just slap the A8/S8's 4.2 into a smaller car, such a heavy V8 engine will throw the handling way off (unless Audi makes the rear heavier to achieve the near 50/50 FR ratio, but that would be as inefficient as putting a chevy big block in a civic while adding a ton of concrete in the rear.)

in that aspect I lose some respect to audi.

btw: someone told me that would a be an IS430, yeah, IS, the Altezza, with the LS430 V8. I still don't quite believe it.
and the new M3 will have a V8 4.0L turbo-ed???

Wait, that's because it is a Volkswagen Jetta. LOL.
what ever you're smoking, pass it to the left man, because it's gotta be some pretty good sh!t to make you think the S4 looks like a Jetta...

STHU. It's one thing to talk sh!t, but at least know what the hell you are talking about first:disgust::|

The Jetta and A4 are based on two COMPLETELY different platforms and they don't even look alike (the Jetta is chiseled, the A4 is rounded). The Jetta is based on the Golf which shares it's platform as such: Golf/A3/Audi TT/New Beetle/Jetta. The current A4 uses a new platform. The only thing that the Jetta and the A4 share are the 1.8 liter turbocharged four. And you talk about the Jetta like it's crap. It's better than any of the compacts that GM shovels out...the cars you SOOOOOOOO take up for. Hell, it's better built than GM's mid-size sedans.

Go spread your feces someplace else:frown:

And if you tell me that GM makes interiors this good for $30,000 then you're full of sh!t. The CTS doesn't even come close.

Now THAT'S a station wagon from hell 😀

Damn these mortgage payments and the fact that I have to eat! Preventing me from owning a piece of Audi uber goodness!!!

From the article:

"The entire V8, with a gross weight of just 195 kilograms, is just as light as its predecessor in the previous S4, a twin-turbo 2.7-litre V6 engine. This results in major benefits for the weight balance and handling characteristics.[/quote]

You were saying? 😛
