A lot of people joke about moving to Canada but seeing the ideology that will be driving the country for now on, I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps it probably would be in my interest to let go and give serious consideration to moving on.

Much of the US aligns infinitely more with Canada these days than they do the rest of their own country. It's pretty strange to watch.

Not sure where you're located but keep in mind that there are plenty of large pockets of this country that reject this new ideology outright and still have their sanity, at least for now.

The New Atlantis is not a peer reviewed journal.
No but the piece is a collage of peer reviewed studies. The point of this thread was to speculate on non-partisan participation in the welfare of the LGBT community. If there is a disproportionate amount of depression, suicide, etc, the worst thing to do is ignore it in the name of equality. Why not find the causes and work toward helping?
To borrow, "but what if we help everyone's mental wellness for no reason?"

A much more useful and valid pursuit would be setting aside partisanship and helping out those in the religious communities. Help Jews, Christians, Muslims and those of other faiths into the 21st century and away from the ancient religious myths of goat herders.

By extension of this we can be rid of the prejudices and hate these fairy tales teach as well as the misguided and irrational faulty decision making mechanisms these silly old myths encourage in people.

Just think, if we could manage that we wouldn't see a fucked up thread like this created.

WND is now a peer reviewed journal?

The Christian warrior takes a couple studies from legitimate sources, a couple rants from crap sources, and glues them together with his own hatreds and fears. What a loser.

Good lord not this shit again.
We have here a person who loves LGBT people with a deep and abiding passion because he is loved by Christ. Did you think he could love quietly watching his beloved burn in the fire. Isn't he impelled by morality to act in the name of his good?
