im getting these blue sreen erros whenever i am runing video files
whether they are realplayer/avi/mpg/asf, i alwasy get them!

ive used the latestes nvidia drivers and the drivers which came with my video card

ive been through windows Millenium and windows 98second edition because of this one problem! and its been about 2 weeks now!!!

and i did do clean formats and even redid the partitions between each OS installation

ive used 4in1 drivers version 4.25 , 4.17 and no 4in1 drivers at all!

freezes whether i install divx or i dont. freezes whether i am using windows media player / realplayer / or home made players that i downloaded from the internet.

the last thing i can possible think of is installing win2k, but i dont have that os.

I have a soyo motherboard with via chipset and a geforce 2 gts. I used to get these BSOD while loading games but it all stopped when I installed the latest, now the 2nd latest, version of via agp drivers. You might give it a try.

try turning down d3d acceleration, or disabling the directdraw component of it completely in control panel. also try slowing down the hardware acceleration in display properties and see if that helps.
