The neighbors directly behind have two huge ass speakers set up in their backyard and have been blasting mariachi music for at least a good 2.5 hours now. I'm pretty sure the cops are going to show up if this goes past 10PM.

:hmm:

Holy fuck the assholes didn't turn off the music until 1AM. WTF!?

BTW, I called the cops 2x, once at 9:30P and the second time at 11:00P. Methinks they didn't even show up.

A house in our neighborhood apparently had a birthday party last night. Giant bounce house and all. Started at about 5:00pm with *really* loud mariachi music. About 35 cars parked on the street along half the neighborhood.

I walked outside at 2:00am this morning, and they were still blaring the music. *shrug* I couldn't hear it in my house, but outside.. wow.

Are we neighbors?

LOL... pretty much the same thing. Music started around 6. Giant bounce house in the front yard. Dozens of cars parked on the street.

Cops don't give a shit about this stuff. One of the houses outside the wall of my condo complex throws parties every month or so. Usually they are pretty good about noise after 11pm. I called the cops on them one time because it was 12am, and my windows were rattling and walls shaking still. When I woke up at 5am, music was much lower but still audible in my bedroom over 100ft away. Don't know how people can have such blatant disregard for their neighbors.

i hate mexican music. every time i hear it i thing the circus is in town.

oompa-oompa-oopma!

I fucking HATE banda music.

The city council passed a law a couple of years ago that states IF I'm willing to sign a noise complaint, the cops have to come out and write a "disturbing the peace" citation any time of day. After 10 p.m., I don't have to sign the complaint.
We have a few Mexican families in the neighborhood who seem to think it's fine to blast their music all day and night. There have been several times the cops were called...and the music got turned down.

In my area they're pretty good. I've had to call a few times over the 6 years I've lived in this town and usually about 30 minutes later it gets REALLY quiet.

I have this sort of issue here now. My neighbor that swore he'd never rent to [spanish derogatory] is. He has the perfect party house out back. Pool, hot tub, nice paved areas, power everywhere to plug in....

I now have latin dance club every friday/saturday and none of them fall into the stereotypical hotties. Fuck me!

I was really cool with all that at first, figured this couple scored a nice place to rent. Fuckers are totally trashing his place and MINE! they both drive over my swale getting out of the driveway. He is going to kick them out in December when their lease is up (I doubt he follows through though).

Oddly they have about 20 old car batteries lined up for some reason (music is 12V?)...

I am so glad my mortgage company is fucking up my mortgage.

yeah my local PD are ineffective at this...actually one just got kicked off the force for shaking down spanish/black people for cash.

I call them up and they give me shit about people have the right to this...meanwhile most of our 'force' don't live here. When I called them the one time they literally told me my music was too loud, WTF!??! that's why I am calling

Never have a problem where I live. The cops are also supposeed to follow up with the person that filled the compliant. So if you called the cops a couple of times and they didn't even follow up with a phone call to you, this is bad. Most cities usually have some type of noise ordinance.

Blast them with your Lawrence Welk.

Back in the dorms, when the buttheads next door would crank their 15" woofers at 1am I would crank The Kingston Trio at 6am.
