I firmly believe that this game is the greatest game ever created in terms of gameplay. Thats my opinion, does anyone agree? I have spent many, many hours playing it over the years and I can confidently say there are only a handful of players in the world who could come close to my times :D I really, really love this game.

Anyway what's your absolute favourite game of all time?

I have need for speed SE, played it for endless hours. I also have nfs2,nfs3,nfs4 and nfs pu.
However net quake stole me and I've been a quaker ever since.
But my absolute favorite game is the C64 version of Defender of the crown.

TNFS is a classic that the others in the franchise can't touch.

I played that game for hours on end...I'm already sick of PU

NFS4 (the person, not the game ;)), how do you feel about the "physics" in PU. I think they are the best of the series.

It has the best physics model, but TNFS is STILL the best of the series and the most fun.

As to my times how does 9 minuets 34 seconds on the alpine track with a diablo sound?;)
eh? eh?

About the physics on Porsche Unlimited I'm not so convinced as prodigy69. I havent driven a Porsche at all but I doubt if they would behave quite like that. Hmmm but I havent played much with a proper steering wheel so it could just be the keyboard that makes them behave so weird.

Can anyone touch my Alpine time?

I personaly think that the 3DO version of Need For Speed is the best of the series.

But you gotta love Porshe Unleasheds handling, shame there arent more car makes though.

In terms of realism the original NFS was sad, too arcade like for my style. Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed has the best overall realism of the series (I have had them all). Each car accelerates, brakes, and handles like it should, and yes Porsche automobiles handle like the game depicts. The 911 series is the most tail happy car ever created.

The best of the best...I would have to say Gran Turismo for the Sony Playstation. If you have never played this you don't know what you are missing.

And yes, Stunts rocked. Gotta love that shaking blower popping through the hood!

Also, if you are playing on a keyboard. I promise I will kick you a$$!

Absolute favourite games huh?
Hmmmm...
In no particular order (well ok, 10 - 1 ;))

10 ShadowMan (PC) (Could be at number 3 depending on how good it stays)
9 Street Fighter 2 CE (Megadrive or Genesis)
8 Sega Rally 2 (PC)
7 Quake2 (PC)
6 Wipeout 2097 (XL) (PSX)
5 Rage Racer (PSX)
4 Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
3 Doom (PSX)
1 Tomb Raider (PSX)
1 Half Life (PC)

You would think I had actually thought about this wouldn't you...

Yoshi,

I comppletely disagree with you on NFS being arcade-like. Arcade games almost always tend towards being overly sensitive to steering and the cars almost always corner much easier than PC games. In TNFS it is actually very hard to corner (you actually have to use your brakes a lot).

I cant really think of anything about it that makes it arcade like.

It's good to know that you can drive well with a steering wheel, I like the realism of a steering wheel but often its hard to get better times than a keyboard I think.

If you are implying that you could beat me in NFS 1 with a steering wheel I think not my huble little friend! :)

(unless you can beat my above time that is. Wich no one can...)
