How good is the "intel extreme graphics" video chipset? you know, the one in the intel 845g motherboards. I've been searching and searching and searching for some benchmarks, comparisons and I found NOTHING!!! I mean, how crazy is that?

I currently have a gf2 mx which I plan on replacing within the next couple of months but I also have an EPOX 4g4a+ which came with that video chipset. Is my old videocard better? is the intel chipset better? how about someone point me to some nice VS so I can finally sleep.

thanks for your time

According to tweak3D, something a bit less than Extreme depending on your definition.

I see it did kick a$$ on the 7500 in 3Dmark 2001 SE though;)

The card totally blows, just like all integrated graphics chips compared to full-blown cards.

... with the Intel solution being the worst one of the integrated ones.

Ya know, every range has two extremes, one at the top end and one at the bottom :)

Oh, i know it blows. but my geforce 2 mx blows as well. the only benchmark comparing it to other cards was the tweak3D one and it doesn't compare it to the geforce 2 mx. So my question still stands.

Is it better or worse? should I unplug my gf2mx or not?
