Despite what the corporate MSM and the Federal Government would have you believe, the Muslim Brotherhood is actually a politically very moderate group according to the truth, antiwar.org.

Why does the damn corporate MSM and the ****heads in the Federal Government have to persecute Muslims like they're public enemy #1 or something?

Because usually anything that's connected with a group that supports the Sharia is far from moderate

They need boogeymen to promote their agenda, see 911 and Patriot Act, Homeland Security, etc.

It's mainly faux news and the right who are the most scared of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Well it depends on what you mean by moderate. Not moderate according to where the US stands, but they are a moderate party by the standards of the opinions held by the average Egyptian.

Same with Hamas, people like that.

I think they're probably moderate in general. WTF is moderate about Obama's policies on war and civil liberties? Obama is every bit as a bad as the Muslims he's trying to kill.

Because the MB is anti-Israeli, how horrible, panic panic, even though the MB has little cred in the whole Egyptian rebellion.

This is not about Egypt, its all about Israel, take JediY word for it, we must all come out four square on the side of bringing back Mubarak. And while we are at it, we must bring back the Shah of Iran.

Bring back, bring back, bring back the oppressive to us to us.

God you are an idiot.

Do you know the shira idea of civil liberties?? There are none, period.

The best thing to happen would be a long drawn out transition that will allow other political parties time to emerge and give the Egyptian people a choice other than religious rule.

They need to have local elections and form a new constitution and then more elections to form a congress and then finally a nationwide presidential elections. The whole process should take 2+ years to do it right.

Yes, once again, Non Prof John is an idiot by saying, "Do you know the shira idea of civil liberties?? There are none, period."

Which is simply saying that Arabs are absolutely incapable of change, which is simply like saying that Christians who burned heretics at the stake and denied science are also incapable of change.

Get em clue Non Prof John, people are people all over the world.

Christians stopped burning witches a few hundred years ago.

Muslims have yet to stop stoning rape victims.

BTW Muslims in general aren't the problem it is a certain brand of muslim that is the problem.

You being an idiot dude!! I am in favor of the Egyptian uprising!!
Finally Muslims stood up and took a stand!
Again if you have nothing to say on a subject you outright lie and claim people say things that they have never said!!

There was more than a political reason that the Muslim Brotherhood was outlawed in Egypt!

Might do you some good to read up on the Muslim Brotherhood!

You are real fool if you believe that Muslim can change!!

ProfJohn has it absolutely correct --

Any group that wants religion-based rule of a country in my book is not moderate. It just doesn't work.

Well they are basically the left-overs of the Nazi occupation of the region, their own charter states that they want an Islamic world and will gladly die to obtain it...

But hey... they're not so bad, right? We'll see.

PS - The Obama administration has been falling all over themselves claiming that the MB is peaceful and mostly secular. Of course they've gotten all their intelligence of the middle-east protests from CNN, so that would explain a few things.
