Grandpa Is Sued Over Grandson's Downloads

First off...This is just ridiclous. I don't care, noone who had absolutley no knowledge of something like that happening should be punished.

Second...

The last line just makes me laugh....

"Illegal downloading costs the movie industry an estimated $5.4 billion a year, she said"

Albeit yes illegal downloading is wrong, a crime, whatever you want to call it.. But please stop with the "it's costing the artists billions" line.

I can sum it up with this:

If someone downloads something how are they technically stealing from the artist, movie house or whatever if that said person never would have went out and bought the cd, movie or whatever? It's really simple; they are not loosing as much as they claim when most people wouldn't buy it anyways. Again I'm not condoning the practice; I just feel the facts are a bit stretched. And the way the MPAA is going after people is wrong as well.
