Ok for those that have seen it,

what do you think Monte does at the end?

I say he goes to jail, i think the movie made it pretty obvious. But this clown I know says he skipped town.


 
I think he goes to jail...but the thing I don't understand is that he was convicted of a crime and they let him show up to jail on his honor? As I understand it, as soon as your convicted of a crime they take you into custody and send you to jail not let you go and tell you to show up to prison a week later.

I dunno if you can do it that way or not but it's a movie so don't sweat it.

Well, if he cut a deal with the DA, which is likely, a part of it could have been that he will turn himself in and give up his passport if he can have the last day to himself and drive himself to jail.

There are many other ways it could have happened.

I liked the movie, and yes, he went to jail, I don't see how this can be debated.
 
Actually, if its a first offense and non-violent, lots of DA's and Judges will allow a week or so off before you have to turn yourself into jail. Of course there's major collateral (like the dad's bar in the movie) invovled. In the move, I believe Monte did not squel to the DEA. But he did get the lowest jail time allowed (7 years as opposed to 25 to life). So I guess the Judge was in a good mood or sumthing.

speaking of which I thought it was funny when monte said he wishes he was the girl from x-men who could walk through walls and girl from x-men was the same girl who got messed around with.

The girl who "got messed around with" played Rogue in the X-men movies. The one that can walk through walls is Shadowcat. He goes to jail at the end of the movie. I didn't think that was in doubt.
