Goodbye New Mexico!

After 3300 miles on the road last week(at an average of 73.5mpg in the 450k mile Insight I might add :)), the move is on.

It's about damn time; my fiancee and I have been planning this for the better part of 2 years now. We found a nice rental in Milwaukie(Suburb of Portland, OR) that should fit our needs quite well. It's 1554 square feet bigger than the place we're in now. :D 3 bed, 1.5 bath, 1087sqft above and a 1087sqft finished mancave. However we can't get too comfy as we're still on track to buy our first home when our lease is up. :)

It was great visiting Portland for a week, and it's going to be even greater to be home permanently. Santa Fe and it's high elevation, cold ass winters, dry, dusty, tiny ass town bullshit can kiss my ass.

Move in date is 2nd week of May. BRING ON THE RAIN!

:)

Sigh...I wish I could move out of this humid shithole. One day...one day...

Glad to hear you're happy with the new place though! :)

You lived in a ~500 square foot place with another person??? Color me impressed you didn't kill each other. I felt mildly claustrophobic living by myself in a ~450 square foot place and I'm not someone who needs the endless caverns of a McMansion or anything even close to that.

Good luck with the move!

I would love to move back to Portland, but being stuck in San Diego isn't so bad.
Good luck on your move Eli.

:D

Yeah, pretty much. Living area is 500sqft with a 120sqft basement. It's pretty rough, especially with as much crap as we have. It will be nice to spread out a little.

I miss New Mexico a lot. Then again, Portland, OR is probably better than Columbus, OH.

I admit that I enjoy the sun. But that's seriously about it. I'm curious to see how the rain affects me, but I don't think it will be too bad.
