These are all the rage these days, which makes me really anxious to try one. What's it like compared to the 9?
You really should give them a try. Out of all the motorcycles I've ever ridden and owned, this one by far is the most fun.
Obviously it doesn't accelerate with the ferocity of a liter bike, but I can still beat my friends' 600s pretty handily up to 80mph or so. The thing will outhandle any sportbike with ease, although its pretty easy throwing around a 300lb dirt bike with fat tires and more torque than a 600.
I scared myself too many times on sportbikes, their speed is a little unnecessary at this point in my life. It's the perfect commuter bike, not so great for 500 mile days on open roads though. This thing is the most fun you'll have at legal speeds, ever.
A cheaper way to go is to just get a four stroke dirt bike and convert it to supermoto. Cheaper, and you don't feel so bad throwing a Honda CRF down the road as you would this. I've already done it, but its fixed now.![]()
I really like your bike too, a guy I ride with has a YZF, hella comfortable compared to the hardcore stuff.

It's not that I'm getting tired of my bike, it's just that there are so many cool bikes out there that I want to try. Plus if my bike had a hard bag option, I would like it alot more. Soft saddlebags suck.
