It's David Allen Coe. Same guy who did "Devil Went Down to Jamaica." He wrote those songs, as well as some others back in the 70s (such as "I'd Like to Fvck the Sh!t Out of You"), as part of an X-Rated, humorous thing.

. Yep. David Allen Coe.

His humor is great.

And few of the anti-racist posters here on anandtech have even seen a black person. I live in an all black neighborhood, and because of their constant noise polution, littering, and other disrespect I must admit that black people as a whole have earned and are right now earning the racial views/stereotypes that they receive.

That's not quite fair. I wasn't saying that "country" as a genre was racist. You were, however, claiming that "rap" as a genre was. There are exceptions to any rule, but your general mainstream rap, and not even that mainstream, is not anyone close to the lyrics I posted. I could google "racist pop lyrics" and find something simliar to what you posted.

I suppose you meant to say "How is that different from a couple rap songs?"

What's not quite fair? You said you've never heard anything nearly as racist in rap music. I said you haven't listend to enough rap. Meaning there is rap music out there nearly as, or more racist than what you're posting about. By a quick google search, I proved that there was. I never said that rap music was inherently racist.

And if you think that Ice Cube or Dr. Dre weren't mainstream, then you are totally incorrect.

And guess what, pop music includes rap. Pop or "Popular" includes many different types of music, including rap, metal, rock, emo, etc.

EDIT: Fvcking double negatives. I hate you grammar.

Any how is this different from rap CDs talking about n***** and white bitc*** etc?

I see your point.

But rap music is hardly ever (and I've NEVER heard it) being blatantly racist towards any group of people. Sure they use derogatory phrases, but they aren't meant with the intention to insult anyone.

If you've never heard it, you haven't listened to enough rap.

Can you find me a lyric that is anywhere close to being as derogatory as those remarks I posted?

Kill the white people; we gonna make them hurt; kill the white people; but buy my record first; ha, ha, ha";
"Kill d'White People"; --Apache, Apache Ain't ******, 1993, Tommy Boy Music, Time Warner, USA.

"Like my niggas from South Central Los Angeles they found that they couldn't handle us; Bloods, CRIPS, on the same squad, with the Essays up, and ******, it's time to rob and mob and break the white man off something lovely";
--"The Day the Niggaz Took Over"; Dr Dre, The Chronic, 1993, Interscope Records, under Time Warner in 1993.

"Bust a Glock; devils get shot. . . . when God give the word me herd like the buffalo through the neighborhood; watch me blast. . . . I'm killing more crackers than Bosnia-Herzegovina, each and everyday. . . . don't bust until you see the whites of his eyes, the whites of his skin. . . . Louis Farrakhan . . . Bloods and CRIPS, and little old me, and we all getting ready for the enemy";
-- "Enemy"; Ice Cube, Lethal Injection, 1993, Priority Records, Thorn EMI; now called The EMI Group, United Kingdom.

"He preys on old white ladies [who] drive the Mercedes with the windows cracked. . . . you should've heard the bitch screaming. . . . sticking guns in crackers' mouths. . . . the cops can't stop it. . . . remember 4-29-92, come on; Florence and Normandy coming to a corner near you, cracker; we've been through your area, mass hysteria; led by your ****** Menace Clan";
--"Mad ******"; Menace Clan, Da Hood, 1995, Rap-A-Lot Records, Noo Trybe Records, Time Warner, USA.

That's just doing a quick google search of "racist rap lyrics." First hit.

Are you saying Dr Dre and Ice Cube aren't main stream rap artists?

You are right about that.

I guess my comment was directed towards those who argue that rap is exactly like this. With all the comments, I thought you were one of those people.

My bad.

He probably is doing just that right now. Dieing over a period of 70-80 years would be dieing pretty slowly.

My girlfriend brought over this random country CD she said her dad listens to all the time. Now, I thought this was a joke, but my god this is defnitely real. There are some regular country songs, but then there are some that are just ... shockingly racist.

Here are some excerpts:

"Roses are red, and violets are blue. And ****** are black, you know thats true. But ****** don't mind cuz what the heck, you gotta be black to get a welfare check"

"I ain't black you see, so Uncle Sam won't help poor ******-hatin me."

"You know it, I'll show it. Stick your black head out and I'll blow it. And the NAACP can't win if the white man stick with the ****** hatin me... ****** hatin me (x5 fade out)"

"She said some day I'd understand, what love is all about. She said I could have the kids, she was moving out. Said she finally found a man who's d!ck was so much bigger, than that scumb-bag mother fvcker, ran off with a ******."

I'd upload this if someone wants to lend me some space. I can't believe anyone could publish and distribute something like this. Wow..

i know that first song, you forgot a few verses:

Jigga boo jigga boo where are you (the jig) iz here in the wood pile watchin you (the racist) jigga boo jigga boo come out (the jig) NO iz scared of the white man way down south

mirror mirror on the wall, who is the blackest of them all? its a man named king and there aint no doubt hes causin lots a trouble with his baboon mouth.

man you just gotta let him exercise his rights and laugh at it, just like that anti war dumbass on cnn that said the soldiers in iraq should die.
if you saw him in public, you'd whoop his ass but theres nothing you can do about it.
