So I'm reading my friends FB (sue me) update and he has a picture of some notes he took at a religious marriage seminar. At the bottom it has the site name and "CD for $99" and I started laughing.

My friend is a great guy but he's a full on religious type, praise the lord type of guy. Anyways I went to the site for some more lulz and found this testimonial and knew I had to post it here.

We received this testimony about provision:

We are avid ibethel watchers, and I wanted to share this testimony from a few months ago. We were having some financial difficulty and we were $105 short for a dental bill that was due. We prayed about it and trusted God.

As we were driving to church the next day, my husband suddenly pulled over to the side of the freeway. I thought something was wrong with the car, but he said, "I think I just saw money fly by our windshield."
At first I thought he was crazy, but sure enough, we looked on the side of the road and there were some bills flapping in the wind. We got out of the car, climbed over the guardrail and started picking up ones; we found $6. Then we found a $10 bill. We were about to drive away and we saw one more bill on the side of the road. We picked it up, and it was a $100 bill!

We waited for a while—at least 15 minutes—thinking perhaps someone would pull over or turn around to look for their cash. No one came, and no one else saw it. I even turned on the radio, wondering if there was a bank robbery or something. Nothing.

Finally it hit me, as the words of the offering reading began to reverberate in my mind, "...rebates and returns, checks in the mail, FINDING MONEY, debts paid off…." We considered all the options, and realized the most logical explanation is that God decided to blow down money on us from heaven.

Why not? God covered our dental bill and filled us with giddy joy at His creative and crazy goodness. God even gave us $9 more than we needed, just to show there is always more than enough. We were praying about applying to school of worship this summer, but we were unsure about the financial part. After this miracle, it confirmed that we are stepping out in faith and trusting God to provide for the school of worship.
Seriously? That was the most logical explanation? 😵

Cliffs:

  • Religious couple is broke and needs $105 for dental bill
  • They find cash on the side of the road after it hits their windshield, cash totals $116 ($100, $10, and $6 in ones)
  • Couple thinks God threw money at them from heaven for dental bill.

That sounds like some epic trolling; it's written like a fake Amazon review. Seriously, who pulls their car over on the middle of the freeway because they think they saw money fly by? And how stupid would you have to be to think that whoever dropped it would turn around ON THE FREEWAY to retrieve it? No way that's real.

IF real then it's pretty pathetic. I'm sad to know I share the planet with people like that.

I've pulled over when seeing something I thought was valuable on the ground. One time I got a cell phone. I tracked down who it belonged to, and it was the owner of a local bagel shop. He gave be a bag of delicious bagels, and some toppings for getting his cell phone back to him :^)

Who knew god was a criminal? The only logical explanation is he's a counterfeiter. He's probably a filthy terrorist too :^D

Reminds me of a dumb joke;

Religious guy is standing by his house during the Katrina Hurricane and is praying to God. "Oh Lord please help me, you know I am a good and religious man and worthy of your help"

Fire truck comes by and the firemen say " Hey jump on our truck we will take you to safety!"
Religious guy says "No I am a good and religious man and the lord will save me" and starts praying again.

The flood waters start rising and a boat comes up the street and a man from the boat shouts out "jump in the boat we are here to save you"
Religious guy says "No I am a good and religious man and the lord will save me" The boat leaves him and he continues to pray.

Finally the man is on the roof of his house and the water is rising, a helicopter from the national guard shows up and drops a ladder down to the man and they shout down "grab the ladder we are here to rescue you"
Religious guy says "No I am a good and religious man and the lord will save me"

The helicopter leaves, the waters rise again, the religious man drowns and dies.

The religious man is pissed off and walks up to the pearly gates and brushes off St Peter and walks up directly to Jesus and starts shouting "I am a good and religious man, I go to church and pray to you every day, I asked for help and you let me drown!"

Jesus looks at him and says "Damn what did you want? I sent you a firetruck, boat, and the national guard you dumb ass!"

why would god bother to give them cavities just to end up paying for it later.

there is no logic in faith, which is why its called faith instead of logic

They were driving to Church?

Silly Christians, they misunderstood God's message. He wanted them to tithe the $116.
