I once pawned a guitar so I could get enough money to live in this dive hotel that smelled like disinfectant and was inhabited by the absolute dregs of local humanity. I stayed a week, and then since I still didn't have any money I stole the guitar back from the manager's office and went down the back fire escape.

Wife, kid, supposedly great job, but still felt the need to build a man cave and film a guided tour with the lead in of "look how lonely" I'm not. That doesn't pass the smell test. That space is obviously an attempt to fill a gaping hole in his life.
