Gamasutra posted a survey that a company called OTX/GamePlan did just after E3 on the games gamers intend to buy. Shockingly (IMHO), Halo 3: ODST came in at number one. I would have expected the Halo name to have a strong showing but I didn't expect ODST to be number one after all the games shown at E3. Also interestingly, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and God of War III followed up at #2 and #3. So that's three flagship names for the three consoles going #1, #2, and #3.

Here's the top 10. Click through to see the full list.

1) Halo 3: ODST
2) New Super Mario Bros Wii
3) God of War III
4) Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
5) Assassin's Creed 2 (360)
6) Modern Warfare 2 (360)
7) Left 4 Dead 2 (360)
8) Wii Sports Resort
9) Madden NFL 2010 (360)
10) Bioshock 2 (360) (tie)
10) Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS) (tie)

What games lead your must purchase list after E3? Me:
1) Modern Warfare 2
2) Splinter Cell: Conviction
3) New Super Mario Bros Wii
4) Forza 3
5) Mass Effect 2
6) Halo 3: ODST
7) Metroid Other M
8) Wii Sports Resort
9) Assassin's Creed 2
10) Style Savy

Out of their list,
God of War III
Modern Warfare 2 (for the PC)
Bioshock 2 (for the PC)
Assassins Creed 2
Left 4 Dead 2 (for the PC)

Nothing else interests me. I much, much rather prefer playing shooters on the PC.

From that list of 10:

1) Halo 3: ODST - definite buy
2) New Super Mario Bros Wii - definitely rent, probably buy
Final Fantasy XIII - maybe buy
5) Assassin's Creed 2 (360) - definite rent, maybe buy
6) Modern Warfare 2 (360) - definite buy
8) Wii Sports Resort - maybe buy
10) Bioshock 2 (360) - definite buy
10) Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS) - haven't heard anything about it, so it depends on the controls and the style of the game

I have to think the only reason that Scribblenauts isn't no. 1 is because people haven't heard of it.

For the 360:

NHL 2010
Bioshock 2

That's all I'm looking forward to. I might grab Tiger Woods 2010 this winter to fight the winter duldrums.

I am not even that much interested in these. I have way too many games still on my to-do list.

there isn't any game that gotten onto or removed from my list because of their E3 presentation. of those surveyed only Forza 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 is on my map.

Scribblenauts is one of the coolest ideas I've seen in a long time.

I can't believe people still care about Halo.
