THE most compatible USB controller chipset? NEC? VIA? xxxxx?

I have one of those very rare incompatibilities with a digital camera. It just won't work on an nForce chipset's USB port so I need to get a 3rd party USB PCI card..but just not sure which one to get. There's VIA, NEC and some others but I need something that will SURELY be compatible with this camera. K7S5A board works fine. It's a PDR-T10 by Toshiba and yes, I've done quite a bit of testing on several boards running W98SE, W2K and WXP w/SP1 etc.

Via and NEC chipsets are widely available as PCI cards and they have no known problems. Interestingly the SiS chipset on the K7S5A is one of the most incompatible around (at least with old drivers it was).
