Alright, 2 people have said it doesn't matter if she was having her period... I want to know why you say that, because AFAIK it is a valid question.
If the girl is having her period that means the uterine lining is coming out. With no uterine lining the egg can't stay inside, therefore during a period you can't get pregnant.
Once the system starts flushing it doesn't stop.
It's unlikely, but still possible. Sperm can reside inside a woman's body for several days, and there's a slim chance this might extend into a fertile period.
An egg cannot become fertilized until ovulation though, which usually takes 2 weeks.
(2 weeks until ovulation, 1 week while ovulating and 1 week of the period) These are not exact numbers because it can vary month to month but it is general guideline.
A sperm would have to survive for about 2 weeks to get a girl pregnant while on her period and the Max is usually about 7 days while average is 3-5.
Eggs are not released on a steady schedule, especially not in young adults. An egg can be released right after the period ends (caused by an early spike in LH levels). As I said, it's unlikely, but still possible. Pregnancy isn't something I would risk.
