Not sure but if you get your hair cut, don't let my grandmother-in-law do it (she's a former beautician. I asked that it be kept at least shoulder length and next thing I know, I look like I'm ready for the army.

actually, i have a goatee and when I shave it off and then don't shave for a couple of days, my goatee definitely comes in thicker than everything else. And I don't shave my goatee very often, once every few months. I've heard it too....but that's just my experience with it.

late.

it does if you shave... like on your face and stuff... cause if it yanks roots etc... or shave close, then it comes back thcker, but on your head, if your cutting only and leaving root hairs, then your only killing the dead hair...

No. It just seems that way since when you first shave during puberty, which is when facial hair starts to grow. It does not get thicker because you keep shaving, but because you are maturing.

From my Biology text from a few years ago.:)

It does not grow in thicker. It's just that if you shave the ends of the hair don't taper anymore but are blunt - which gives it a thicker appearance.

I shave Mr. Happy, and I can assure you that pubic hair does NOT grow in thicker the more you shave it.

Wow. Now I'm so glad I don't know what Napalm381 looks like so I can't have any scary pictures popping into my head. It has always been my experience when I'm going to grow a goatee, that if I shave it every day for a week or two(using a real razor, I don't know about electric ones) and then let it start growing, it comes in much better than if I shave every 2 or 3 days and then start letting it grow out. I don't know, this really seems to be my experience. I don't think the act of shaving is creating hair follicles(or however you spell it, I'm not even going to try. Hoocked on Fonics worcked fur mee!), but it does seem to make it grow more evenly than when I don't shave it regularly.

it doesnt come back thicker but it all grows in at the same time so it appears thicker.
