Building the new rig, getting ready tu put modem in the pci slot and read ond the ESD cover...install drivers before installing modem.
Uhhhhh...How do I do that? I will be loading WIN2K. But how can I load a driver if the modem isn'ty even there for the OS to detect.
It is a ZOOM 2925L 56K PCI.

Thanks
Matt

Just install the drivers using the setup/install program on the disc.
Shutdown the computer.
When you boot 2K (after inserting the modem) the correct driver will be installed (plug & play).
They want you to do it this way because it is easier(?) or to prevent W2K from assigning wrong drivers.
