The Mist DVD Commercials

I haven't seen the movie, but I thought that one of the things the movie was supposed to do was build suspense about what was in the mist, what was killing people... but with the commercials for the DVD, it gives the impression that this is just a normal run of the mill monster movie.

Why would I want to see it now?

I liked it though I did like the book ending better. It's still worth a watch imho.

OP, I thought the same exact thing when I saw that. Completely spoiled the movie for me personally. I think even the first time, I yelled "how about a spoiler alert, asshole" at the TV. What were they thinking? Maybe they thought people were confused and were getting it confused with The Fog or something, and wanted people to know its a monster movie. Personally I thought the original previews weren't that good, looked like a made for TV movie, and the new ones are worse. At least the creatures look more menacing than IT turned out to be in the movie (have you seen how terrible of effects were used in that).
