I've thought about this before, but not since the advent of inexpensive capacitive touch tablets (first with the iPad, now with Android tablets and Windows/Surface tablets).

For anyone who ever read Ender's Game, or those of you in the future who have seen the movie (;)), do you think we'll see a tablet or phone game app of the Mind Game in the future? The game is the absolute perfect game to put on a tablet or other touch enabled PC, considering it was conceptualized as running on "desks" in Orson Scott Card's world.

That kind of open-ended game is possible to do with really good graphics now.
An RPG/FPS and space sim for the book/movie (without looking, I'm betting there are games in the works already) would be awesome if done right, so maybe The Giant's Drink could be a mini-game, too. But the "Through the Looking Glass" kind of psychological game the Mind Game/The Giant's Drink is has more appeal for me, especially if it's long and open enough.

The 'game' as described in the book isn't actually a game and was made for children.

Yeah, I re-read the book recently and it plays more like an interactive story than an actual game. If anything it'd have to be a point and click adventure, and those aren't new.
