uh what cooling are you guys using? I don't want to waterblock my system. Unless some of you fib, those temps are as low/high as my tbird 900 mhz. With a closed case and 2 case fans (stock HSF) I get 37C idle and 50C after games. Without a case I drop to 33C and 43C under load. I need a better HSF, what are you guys using?

try an sk-6, or a Zalman CPNS 5000+

<< We also have inside information about the Thunderbird 1.53GHz and the Athlon MP 1.4GHz parts. These will certainly not now be introduced before September. Athlons at speed revs below 1GHz will be phased out from Monday next. >>

Is that 1.53 gonna be a thunderbird or is he referring to the palamino 1.53??? I hope it's the Palamino...I've been waiting so long for it.

I'm not running any extreme cooling. No water, no pelts, no LN2. :D

Just the best HS/F out there -- Swiftech MC462-A.

Actually, AMD recently stated that they were only going to bring Palomino to about 1.7 GHz and then bring in Thoroughbred after that.

What's the holdup though, they already have mobile and server athlon 4's out there, what's holding back the desktop version?
