Hmm...so I saw paulson is a "Diamond Member" and that alarmed me...so I went to "Help" to see what the new levels of membership were; I hadn't noticed.

This is what it says:

Junior Member 0
Member 20
Senior Member 200
Golden Member 1000
Platinum Member 2000
Diamond Member 3000


So then I go to check my last post...ack, I'm a diamond member too!

This got me thinking about what each of these levels of membership mean...

Junior Member- NEWBIE!
Member- Modest poster or just graduated from newbiehood.
Senior Member- Modest and long term poster...or fairly new guy with a hankering for posting.
Golden Member- Posted a good amount in his or her day...
Platinum Member- Shnikes...you post a lot!
Diamond Member- Why in the hell aren't you Elite?!

Yes, that was lame, but the truth generally is...heh.

Anyway, I haven't been posting here toooo much lately (last week or so) and probably won't make elite any time soon...but damn, do I feel silly having over 3,2xx posts and not being elite. hehehe

Oh well, thats the way it goes...maybe we should have a "Neffing Member" status at 5000+ posts (and not being elite)?

I've always wondered why the levels mean so much to people. At my rate I won't get out of Senior Member status for a long while. The way I see it, by the time I reach Golden status, version 3 of the forums will be out and they will have divided the status levels once again just so that people can get the feeling that they're still moving on up!
