If indeed true ofcourse.

Story here

I really hope this is not a repost, I did a search and nothing came up.

Sophia Stewart is pissed off. ?They didn?t expect me to go to the feds,? she says, ?They didn?t expect this case to blow up this huge.? They includes Warner Brothers, Fox Studios, James Cameron, the Wachowski brothers, and Joel Silver. This case is one of the most fascinating and controversial cases that you may have never heard of.

Sophia Stewart, a black woman residing in Salt Lake City, is alleging that the internationally successful film that we all know as "The Matrix," was actually taken from her screen treatment and epic, "The Third Eye." Stewart also says that in the process of investigating her copyright infringement case, the FBI discovered that there was strong evidence linking "The Terminator," a film Stewart had never seen and therefore never sought compensation for, to "The Third Eye" as well.

SNIP......

It was interesting up until she turned into some sort of black activist/racist, and started stereotyping white people. Then I suddenly stopped caring.

The article is dated Apr 14, 2005.

So, this one is recent, anyway.

Still, without citations from the source, it's impossible to make a guess as to the legitimacy of the claim (guessing - very low). There wasn't much TO the plot of "The Terminator" and "The Matrix" - I'm sure a hundred hack writers could find elements of their stories in them.

How many writers sent in scripts to WB with those elements of story in them though?

I'm pretty sure this has already been settled with the movie companies having their tails between their legs and this woman ending up a few mill richer.
