The Matrix: Reloaded

Me and the wife say it yesterday. I wasn't going to post a thread about it, but since this one is here.

That had to be one of the WORST sequels ever. They TOTALLY ruined the whole first 1hr and 45 minutes of the movie with nothing but pointless and stupid action. Ok so Agent Smith all the sudden (and for NO apparent reason or explanation learns how to ?clone? himself.) Well I can understand he can clone himself by touching people, but now all the sudden he has just hundreds of Agent Smiths flying out of anywhere. Just stupid mindless action with no point.

So then you get to the French Software guy (forget his name, I think I was about to fall asleep at this point). Ok anyone notice how he threatens Neo ?you?re going to pay for this? and all the sudden disappear. Also those stupid white virus guys just totally disappear too. WAY too many plot holes to fill.

Which gets me to my next point. WTF was going on in the car chase. All the sudden Agent Smiths started taking over peoples bodies in cars. That is NOT cloning, that is taking over someone?s body and mind. He never touched them, never saw them. They just all the sudden turned into Agent Smith?.and for what freaking reason? So now if ANYONE can just automatically morph into Agent Smith, WTF are they running from? Wherever they go he?s going to show up.

About the last 30 mins of them taking over the building was ok, till of course, another 50 or so Agent Smiths started just flowing outta doorways for no reasons.

Seriously, my 6 yr old could have written a better plot and dialog than that dribble they are stuffing down the throats of people. Me and my wife agree that it was crap. Actually a few of the people walking out of the theater were talking about how bad it was.

Two thumbs WAY down. Anyone who enjoyed that must worship the Matrix way too much or be 12 years old.

A) Smith being able to copy himself is called "I R O N Y" as he compared humans to virii in the first film. He clears up how this is done in his dialogue with Neo before the "Burly Brawl". "I'm not exactly sure HOW it happened, something copied, or overwritten".

B) The 100 Smiths isn't stupid mindless action. Smith knows he cannot take Neo by himself, so he begins to take over people in the Matrix for his bidding. Its a theory that in Revolutions Smith will have taken over the entire Matrix

C) The "French Software Guy" or Merovingian, never says "You'll pay for this", he states "Listen to me boy, and listen well, I have survived your predecessors, and I will survive you". That is all

D) Carchase...you make no sense whatsoever...those are not Smith, those are agents still attached to the system. How exactly are you married when your intellect is still at a grade school level?

E) It appears that it was simply "over your head"

theNEOone - whats with the childish name calling? Does it make you feel like more of a man? I'm talking about how I dislike a movie, and You've turned it into a personal flame war of name calling. Why don't you grow the hell up and get a life. Just because I don't like the movie and thought it was pointless doesn't give you the right to try and belittle me because I don't have the views and opinions you do of a movie. I didn't go back and watch the first movie or care enough half way though the movie to pay attention. It was BORING. Nothing but pointless fighting and not even good action. To me some guy taking on 50 people is just retarded. I love good action movies but I DIDNT like this one. That gives you no right to say the things you are saying towards me personally.

The points you make are completely invalid simply because they DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE FILM I WATCHED (Carchase). Also, if you had payed attention you would have seen that all these "plotholes" have been answered.

well since the people in the cars became agenst, not agent smith i think its been confirmed that u were either trying to hard to find flaws in the movie, or have the comprehension level of my cat

lol you people are pathetic. Everyone in the theater was saying the same thing. Sorry I'm no fanboy, I don't worship and follow all the aspects of a movie, I was just hoping it was going to be good, it wasnt.

I wouldn't expect someone to walk into LOTR part 3 and understand it all either. But atleast it's an enjoyable movie.

It has nothing to do with being a "fanboy". I enjoyed the film simply because it took everything we were comfortable with in the first one, and turned it on its head. I also PAYED ATTENTION during the film, and the "plotholes" you mentioned were not holes at all, the explanations were simply not forced down our throat with an iron fist. If you cannot comprehend the film (as witnessed by your Smith, carchase statement) then your bashing is simple drivel...you just didn't understand it, and that's fine...my 2 month old baby couldn't understand it either. You chastise people for "namecalling" and such, when it was you who threw the first stone calling those that liked it fanboys or 12 year olds.

**** This is not to say that everyone who disliked it didnt "get it". Those with valid points are obviously entitled to their opinions, but not understanding a film on its most basic level simply disqualifies you from giving a valid arguement ****

let's get this absolutely straight - i'll make it simple so that you can understand, because apparently you don't even understand yourself. in your last post you say that you're talking about how you dislike a movie, when in previous posts you've mentioned the plot holes that you've "discovered." it's been made clear to you (by several people) that these "plot holes" are actually "brain holes," where you've been incapable of understanding particular aspects of the movies. realize that in your original post, that you belittle the film makers for making a "childish" movie that "a 12 year old could understand" yet you yourself seem to be having problems with it. you're being flamed because you're making fun of a movie you don't even understand.

you don't like a movie, fine. but make sure that your opinion is based on the right reasons - not non-existant "plot holes." realize that there are actual plot holes in the matrix movies, yet you didn't have the presence of mind to mention even one.

Wow, LikeLinus you really didn't pay attention.

Pretty much everything you said is wrong. Other people already said it but Neo does fly in the first movie, those guys weren't Smith during the car chase, they do explain Smith and cloning, etc.

I don't see how you could miss all of those things.
