The Matrix a bit unrealistic?

You know, today I was sitting there watching the first matrix on tv and I had a bit of a revelation. How do they get all that data into the brain through that plug? As far as I can see that plug is just a long spike. Wouldnt such a plug need multiple wires, or something? You think we will one day use DVI to plug in like that?

I'm pretty sure they consider that. How realistic would it be if 500 years into the future they still used USB 2.0?

The recepticle for the plug is hardwired into the brain. The non-pod born people can't plug in because they do not have the technology to install one.

So yes, there ARE little wires going all over into all the different parts of the brain. 😛

Thats what I was thinking. They would have to have a wire going to each receptor of the brain.
