That could be, I had never heard of them until yesterday so personally I can't say if they're overrated or not.

Mars Volta is pretentious garbage. That's just me though. If you honestly like them, that's cool. But, I know alot of people that say they like em just to be cool.

went to live show at emo's in austin last friday, they blew goat nuts. The album is tight, like a movement almost, in concert they at like a silly jam band with pointless and bad solos that neverend. and yes, there are alot of people that like them because they are "cool"
