The Lost Room

Anyone watching this show??

Edit:

Characters:
Joe Miller - obviously the protagonist so we know he's a good guy.

Jennifer Bloom - her character hasn't been developed yet. We know that she's not a killer because she had the chance to do so when she put the detective to sleep. I think she's a good girl.

Karl Kreutzfeld - he's the owner of the pawn shop.. he has obvious deeper connections to the origins of the mysterious objects and the whole story. Also there is some obvious reason why his son looks ill. I'm putting him as an antagonist character.

Anna Miller - detectives daughter, she is the motivation behind the detectives actions. She represents the good that is lost in this mysterious world. Protagonist.

The Weasel (Howard Montegue) - this guy is definitely an antagonist. It is apparent because he toasts the two characters at the beginning of the movie. I like how the director develops his character and we are led to believe that he has some good intentions by helping the detective. However, we are shown that his intentions are evil when he tries to toast the detective at the end of the first episode. However, we don't fully know his motivations and so I'm undecided on this character.

Det Lou Destefano - although his character gets killed off in the first episode, I have a feeling he will make a come back somehow.

Dr. Martin Ruber - the foresic coroner.. he is a killer and turns to the dark side of the force.

Wally Jabrowski - the bus pass transporter... I think he is just a pawn in the game...

Decent quirky aspect to it. I felt the beginning went too fast though. They basically jumped right into it. The guy lets his daughter play around with it, even though it's dangerous.

My favorite quote:

bad guy: What does the gun do?
cop: It shoots bullets... fast.

Interesting premise but I would have preferred a different angle such as doing a bunch of crazy and fun stuff with that key instead of searching for his daughter.

Well, it started out like that. The funny aspect of it all is the silly properties certain random objects have.

Ya for about 2 minutes, they got some Cuban cigars and watched a football game. There's so much potential for that key, it apparently even works on a door in a frame, not even attached to a wall, you could use it to go anywhere.

Do they explain how the objects and the significance of the motel room come into play?

Something crazy happened in that actual hotel room. No one knows, but everyone has theories. The objects all have certain arrangement in the room(apparantly when that "something" happened), the objects can't be destroyed, using the objects make other object holders more aware of you, but no one knows where the room actually is.

Just finished watching part 2.
It is really good.
The Comb is really neat.
I can't wait to see how it ends.

What does the Comb do?
Spoiler below:

If you comb your hair time stops for about ten seconds. You can then move around apparently invisible to everyone else.

It's was in one of the previews, so no need for the spoiler tags. 🙂

I actually slept through enough of the back to back airings, that I have to catch it today before the finale.

So far I'm really enjoying this show.

Re: The "glass eye"

The Weasel tells Joe it is the most powerful weapon (Joe asks what is does and just as the Weasel is about to answer Joe take a cellphone call. So we don't know what it does).

Krautzfeld tells Joe that his son has leukemia and he needs the "glass eye" because it heals all flesh...

Well, is somebody lying? Seems like it, so I'm not trusting Krautzfeld at all.

The "Order v. Legion" Which is worse? and what is their purpose?

We can already see that the Order is ruthless and are killers. So they are definetely bad guys. But I don't trust the Legion either. When Jennifer Bloom spoke with the guy in the black glass building, I got the impression is was purposefully "dark" to hint that they were bad guys also.

What say you guys?

I'll tell you after I watch the finale for the second time at 11. 😛

:Q

(potential spoiler alert)

A question: I missed the part about how the motel owners (the old guy and his wife lost in the room) found out about the Objects and what compelled her to conduct that experiment. How did they come to possess the key?

I think they found the objects in the room since they worked at the motel. As to how the wife got the idea to place certain objects around the door, that is not explained.
Spoiler alert:

I just finished watching the last episode.
I thought they would not actually explain everything, leaving the viewer to speculate, and I was right. However, I thought it ended well.
I wonder what happens to Ruder and the Order wacko who decides not to kill him?
Maybe the premise for a tv series?

Could be, and may depend on ratings! Would the actors commit to a series? Battlestar G started the same way.

SPOILER!!

Now that joemillerisanobject (assuming that the one-eyed guy is telling the truth), I wonder what his special property is.

Now that joemillerisanobject (assuming that the one-eyed guy is telling the truth), I wonder what his special property is.

He takes the place of the original occupant. The occupant was invincible.
