The logo bandwagon

Seems there is a trend going on. I need to design a logo for my forums. I don't know the first thing. What is a good program? I don't have photoshop at the moment. The main site isn't finshed at all and the forums are still being worked on. I don't think that I can actually use a picture or copy of the actual "Grinch". lol I just want something cool.

Where do I start?

Just a question, why is everyone starting their own forums, personal site, techsite, hotdeals site, or just something that people wont prolly go to... and why is everyone wanting a logo! Get photoshop thru the neotech ftp group and learn sum stuff from designsbymark.com

I think its for the power of admin status or something. I don't know. A forum with 5 or 10 ppl seems boring. Why dont you just email each other or talk on IM. Anyways, to each his own.

hzl_eyed_grl, you could ask the members here to design a logo for you. Maybe you could pass along some guidelines for what you want it to look like (size / color / general theme / etc).

I'd be glad to help if you gave me some ideas on what you'd like it to look like.

Yeah, ask us members to do it. I'll fire up all the different kinds of graphics programs I have. Which I paid for of course. Who would use illegal software? jeez...
