The 'Little Woman' is on Alltel . . .

What's her best phone option for:

1) phone quality;
2) email access.

She doesn't care about browsing, music, camera, office apps, etc. Just email and phone.

Is the Palm Treo 700p overkill? Are there surcharges from Alltel under Smart Choice (or a Freedom Plan) for email access. Can she switch Alltel plans without having to sign a new contract? Can the Packers kick Bear butt this year?

Id go with a Blackberry. The treo's are pretty bad as far as holding a signal. Alltel also has the BB 8830 on the 30th as well. No other fees/surcharges with the smartchoice plans. Unlimited data and BIS (if you go with a BB). Also, all the WM phones can push email from a exchange server, but it's been a pain in the butt for me to set up, and eats up battery life bad on Windows Mobile phones.
