Ok, seriously, I've been waiting to pickup a 3DS forever. If they make a Zelda + 3DS XL bundle for the holidays, I'm gonna camp out at Target.

nostalgia meter just went threw the roof.

Then saw link turn into a 2D painting on a wall, crawler that turned 2D view -> 3D view, and was like.... wooaaah.

Find out its for 3DS..... *sadface*

Dammit...LTTP is one of my all time favorite games. Then again, I haven't really liked any Zeldas since then... I see no real reason to get a 3DS, and doubtful I will to play this :(

funny thing is a lot of us are complaining it will be on the 3ds. i know i won't buy a 3ds even if it is for just 1 game. i don't want to game on a 3" screen when i have a theater that i play consoles in.

but a game like this on the wii-u would make me go out and spend $400 to get a wii-u + zelda. but i won't go out and spend $200 or whever to play it on 3ds.

Well, there's a lot to play on the 3ds outside of zelda. A lot of great RPGs and such if you're into that.

I'm actually thinking of getting a 3ds for animal crossing. For some strange reason I simply love that game. It's simple, silly, pretty dumb overall but it's charming.

I've had a 3DS XL since Christmas.

I love it, even though I only have 3 games, they're all excellent. Fire Emblem Awakening is particularly awesome, as is Super Mario 3D Land.

I'm no fan of handhelds for handheld sake, but the fact is you're going to get a lot of games and genres on them that you simply don't find on other home consoles.

Zelda:LttP is one of my all time favorites. I'd rather play it than this crap. Link turns into a painting (a bad one) to scooch around on walls..... In the vido this mechanic looked like pure cheeseball, Something tells me Miyamoto was at quite a distance from this entire game.

Zelda: Lttp2, Luigi's Mansion 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Fire Emblem, SMT IV, Pokemon, Animal Crossing...

There are so many worthwhile 3DS games.

I wish they allowed you to sync you 3DS with your Wii U and play games on a big screen, though. I don't really use the 3D much anyway.

Etrian Oddysey IV, Tales of the Abyss, Kingdom Hearts to add 3 more.

Don't worry, it takes more than 5 minutes for the game to get rolling, you'd just get bored and turn it off anyway.

Though it might have a online vs fighting mode like phantom hourglass!

I could get that if he wasn't a fan of 3D, but not liking Links Awakening or Oracles?? Those last two were amazing and the reason I was disappointed in comparison by PH/ST.

I had forgotten about Link's Awakening on GB...played through that one at least 2-3 times.

yeah. i stare at a computer monitor all day. when i get home from work to kick back i don't want to stare down at a 3" screen. i wanna stare at my 10' screen with my feet up kicked back.

When I play a game it doesn't typically matter the size of the screen once I'm down into it.

The last Zelda games I played were Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, which personally I rate as around the best Zelda games created. I haven't touched any of the GameCube/Wii/DS ones yet (on my to do list).

Honestly, I think it'd be neat to play them through chronologically, thus starting with Skyward Sword.
