Hardest punch to learn (when your a righty) seems to be the left hook what do you guys think? I remember when I was first starting out it felt so foreign to me, the whole motion of it. I was convinced I would never develop any power or speed with it but after 2-3 years of drilling it I have to say my left hook has gotten pretty dang good. Might do a youtube of it later. Who else is a fan of the left hook and knows what i'm talking about?

Since i am left handed, a "hard" left hook seems easy to me.
I once got asked if i did take any boxing lessons prior before i started. Just because of my left punch.

I try to maintaining the same way of standing as right handed people.

edit : Same with a left jab.

HOw about your right hook then? Pretty awkward at first?

Actually i bet left handed people are more naturally ambidextrous due to how much stuff is geared toward right handers, you guys learn to use your off-hand a lot more

I started last year but i have been going on and off. Not as much as i wanted too. But i have to sleep enough and work. My right i feel was okay. But i am nowhere near people who have been training regularly every week.

Except for writing and other precision jobs, my right hand use is pretty okay. I do for example not have a problem with a right handed mouse. All right handed people i know get frustrated when they use my left handed mouse. Strange.
