It's been a long time since we last heard about it, but here it is: http://boinc.umiacs.umd.edu/
It is a host project for different bioinformatics laboratories of the University of Maryland. That's why it runs a number of different apps. Right now they're testing an app from the HMMER package (also used in SIMAP).
The beta test uses real data, so it won't be only number crunching at the moment.
