That's pretty good, gordy. I remember your site and pics from the last thread. Good stuff!

I remember you saying that the last one was going to be made into a kit.... So what model company do you work for?

thanks for the comp's,

i do a lot of carving when it is cured except for when it's time for fabric and drapery,

i don't work for a model company, i'm freelance... i might make a dozen or so castings of Mantle and sell the original.. manufacturers won't touch a likeness piece on accounta the licensing involved.. but person to person, all bets are off.. ;)

So how much does it cost to hire you to make a figure?

Unbelievable as usual. But I must have missed something. Is there a link to the finished skeleton?

thanks again for the compliments,

prices? i would start Mantle at 1K unpainted original, for a painted original more, it would be a pinstripe uniform and consequently a bitch to paint
copies would be real hard for me to control since my caster would have the original in his possesion for at least 3 days and no guarantee the molds would be destroyed or he would make a few extra copies...

limited run copies would be around significantly less for a bronze painted or painted

painted originals are extremely rare and generally aren't copied and go for quite abit of $

originals - sculptor retains the original - very rare sculptor writes his own check

limited runs - sculptor retains original caster or scultor makes limited quantities - small quantities pricey
masters - caster keeps original and makes production copies or kits - rare but pricey casters usually dont let them go/after all they posses an original

production runs - lowest quality and common
