The latest omega driver is out

Waiting for benchmarks. Last ones I saw for his drivers based on the beta 4.12 actually showed they were slower than the official ones. Seemed odd to me. If they have any performance boost, it probably isn't much nor worth getting.
 
Terrible benchmarks. For one thing, the scale of the benchies is horrid. They make it look like a 2 fps gain is monstrous, when in fact you wouldn't notice the difference in the least. Furthermore, they don't even show them up against the stock catalyst drivers. How do we even know these are better? Someone even posted a link to other drivers that were better than omega(supposedly). Need better benchies.
 
malak - perhaps next time whack your suggested improvements into the actual forum where the benchmarks reside, rather than in a forum somewhere else 🙂

You'll find it's easier for us to update stuff when people make suggestions in the thread.

But moving right along - the suggested changes have been made, both the scale change and the addition of the Catalyst 4.12 reference drivers.

I'll try my hardest to get back here and check out the Anand forums a bit more at some stage, but I have so much work to do over at Utopia I rarely get the time 🙂 Too many pixel pipelines to navigate, vertex units to nestle into and F-buffers to run around 😉.....

The Cat's did return some interesting results, definately doing ok in the real world benchmarking 🙂

I wanted benchmarks of omega vs catalyst because catalyst 4.12 performed better than omega beta 4.12 according to a user here. Someone posted benchmarks that didn't even have catalyst drivers in them, and in my opinion weren't informative in the least. It has nothing to do with your site, and I wouldn't waste my time registering on your site just to let you know that I didn't like your benchmarks. I check benchmarks on a lot of sites, but I discuss the stuff here. It'd be pointless for me to post in dozens of websites.
