The latest fad of drawn on eyebrows looks horrible

I see girls who draw their eyebrows on to fill them in with perfectly smooth borders or just shave the original ones entirely and draw them back on. Looks horrible. Why would somebody want their eyebrows to have unnaturally crisp edges? It doesn’t look natural, and if it doesn’t look natural it doesn’t look good. For the most part makeup only serves to make someone look worse not better. There’s very few exceptions. I wish women would realize this and appreciate their natural beauty instead of turning themselves into clowns.

This does not look good:

Middle girl's eyes look in different directions. Her brows are probably a diversionary tactic :^P

Bottom girl looks cute.

Bottom girl looks cute.

She’s definitely cute but her eyebrows look ridiculous. It ruins the otherwise cute face.

that is not a new fad at all, it's been a thing since at least the early 90's if not earlier.

Yeah but isn’t definitely taken off in popularity over the last year or two. And no longer confined to lady’s like Mimi off Drew Carey but now has spread to otherwise cute girls like he one mentioned above.

I always found it tacky as well. I can understand for people who don't have eyebrows but it can be done in a way that it looks more natural.

The latest trend is actually microblading which is some kind of mix of cutting and tattooing.

I see women with no eyebrows at all that draw them on. Looks so freakish.

I wish this one girl would do this. She's blond and has slight eyebrow hair. SO it can sometimes look as if she's lost her eyebrows almost entirely. If you didn't know better you'd think she was undergoing chemo - especially when she wraps a bandanna over her scalp. Nothing hot about the cancer-patient look, sorry. USE MAKEUP. :anguished:

I told my daughter my thoughts on the matter and she thinks I’m crazy, and that having perfectly drawn eyebrows is all the rage at her school.

I think you gotta wake up and join planet earth.
Thats at least 100 years old and probably much older. But I'm guessing its not the kind of thing history books are written about.

Its definitely gotten more popular recently and looks ridiculous, I haven't been able to figure out why girls would want to look uglier either.

Ugh, yes I think it looks about as horrid and dumb as duckface does.

And this thing Lady Gaga does is total ugly horridness too:

I'm not a huge fan of makeup on girls anyway, well, mainly/especially when it's overdone. Bleh. Almost as bad as fake tits and lips, IMO. But whatever.

the only thing worse is those awful fake eye lashes. Sorry, they don't make you look cute. It looks more a pair of nasty spiders on your eyelids.

My daughter has a successful business doing eyebrows for people. She waxes them, thins them out, colors them...it's crazy! People spend $50 a pop for her to work on them.

There are quite a number of people in this thread that seem to have no concept of women.

Also, this has been very popular for at least the last 5 if not 10 years. The "winged" eye look is more recent, probably last 3-5 years but has dropped in popularity a bit.
