They say the G3 Wave is built in mexico but I thought that platform was GM that bought out Daewoo, a Korean brand? I have an Aveo which is the same thing as the G3 Wave and the Suzuki Swift (not the old ones tho) and I always thought it was that Korean shit.. or is it Korean just now built in Mexico? Confused

Either way, I don't really care about pontiac.

The only speeding ticket I ever got was in a Grand Prix. Luckily it was a rental and I never got another one.
When I had the chance to purchase a GTO I let it pass. Figured I'd be in jail or the hospital by the end of the week.

Thank God. Pontiac's were, and always will be, garbage. Foreign cars outclass them in every way imaginable. There's no comparison. Everyone knows this.

Yeah? Which foreign car outclassed a 1966 GTO tri-power? Sounds like you like to talk out of your ass. Everyone knows this.

Pontiac made bland cars throughout the 90s and well into the 2000s.

A shame that they are just starting to turn around with their newer models but getting shaft in the GM bankruptcy. Same thing with the Saturn brand.

Pontiac and Saturn were the only two GM brands I would've bought in the future (own a Vibe currently). Never understood this continuing idea that the brands should be full top-to-bottom and competing against each other.

Should've kept all the nameplates and just pick their niches (ie Pontiac gets sporty, Buick gets geezer, GMC gets trucks, Chevy gets the family truckster, etc).

Well yeah, you neuter the brand and this is what happened. Savvy like this is why GM is doing so well. Kill your most appealing and only profitable brand. Good move.

That's why the CEOs of American Automakers make so much more than their Japanese counterparts. :)
