The Last of the Mohicans

That movie is awsome. I actually went to where they filmed part of the movie.

They filmed the waterfall and the indian village scenes and some of the scenes where they travel through the woods in Chimney Rock, NC.

Here is aLink to the map. Hickory Nut Falls is the falls in the movie

I used to live in Charlotte, and have been up that way too. Absolutely beautiful country.

the last of the mohicans is by far my favorite movie.

especially the last 30 minutes. my favorite part is the last fight scene where the guy with the blue axe kicks the crap out of Magwah.

great soundtrack too! the soudtrack is awesome

BTW I forgot to mention that they have some of the memoribilia and pictures from the movie in the gift shop. For example the blue war club carried by Uncas, Hawkeye's (Daniel Day-Lewis) clothes, Cora Munro's (Madeline Stowe) dress, just to name a few. It is very interesting to go up there and hike the trails and see some of country that was shown in the movie. I would recommend going to Chimney Rock. It is beautiful!!!!

Great movie, great soundtrack.

If you are looking to buy the DVD, look for the newer-released version with a DTS soundtrack. The video on that is from an anamorphic master, instead of letterboxed, and is quite better.

Chimney Rock, NC eh? I must visit that place. 🙂
