Suppose log.4a (40*sqrt(3)) = log.3a (45)



(Log.m (n) denotes log base m of n. sqrt(x) denotes the square root of x.)



Find a^3 (a^3 denotes "a cubed.")
 
Also, how simplified do you want it? If you just need *an* answer, simply do a change of base formula
log.b(a) = log.anybase(b) over log.sameanybase(a)
a little cross multiplying,
use the product rule - log (xy) = log x + log y
separation of the log a's from that,
switch to exponent form (to solve for a)
cube it, and you're done, provided you can leave an ugly answer.

But, if you want a more elegant looking answer, then... 😛 do your own homework.
