I stand corrected. I didn't even check Clintons numbers - I took them from T2T's post.

Clintons seems pretty middle of the road for modern presidents - specially if you compare with Reagan. Clinton had far more petitions than Reagan so his rejection rate is much higher.

The point of my post was that presidential pardons are neither here nor there and it was silly to bring it up in this topic.

Poppy was kind enough to disappear after Nov. 92 and shut his mouth during the Clinton years.

Somalia.

Quote?

In December, 1992, after losing the election to Clinton, Bush Sr sent combat troops into Somalia. There was no American interest there and the deployment was a transparent (and sadly successful) attempt to trip up the incoming Clinton. Clinton, to his discredit, didn't simply pull the troops back out but attempted to achieve Bush's stated mission in Somalia causing the unnecessary deaths of US soldiers.

I didn't think anyone noticed how cold it has been these last few years, I was beginning to wonder if you were all too busy building Noah?s Ark.

Topic Summary: What horrible things will he do January 2-19?

Darn, you didn't notice and this is about the worst president in history. He has been powerless since re-election. Do? Nothing.

We have more interesting things to talk about, such as how to best shake a money tree. $2 trillion and counting in 2008, we can do better than this!

In his last days he'll probably bomb the shit out of Pakistan and start a war with Iran. Hell, he might even go for a hat trick and do N. Korea too, starting WWIII. Of course I hope he doesn't do any of this, but you never know with a Chimp.

Most of it has already been done in that he has quietly tried to lock in his programs. One major area he has failed (so far) is the agreement to stay in Iraq beyond the end of 2008 legally. Bush grossly overreached in trying to force an essentially open-ended agreeement with the Iraqi government, who turned out to be not quite the puppets he presumed. Something will happen along those lines before the end of the year-something McCain will welcome but Obama very well may have to undo.

Also expect a flurry of regulations, etc. trying to change basic governmental functions.
