The lab where I work...

It's air conditioned, has 4 Dell XPS computers with 17" LCD Monitors, and some crazy equipment whose collective value is around or higher than $200k all at my fingertips.

Wow, it must be COOL to be a janitor in such a high tech facility!

Hahaha. Not exactly. I actually have to get some stuff done by the end of the summer.

At my old job I used to spend ( or raise ) millions of dollars some mornings.... managing an Index Fund. (I got to backup the actual fund managers when both happen to be out of the office)

Most I ever spent was about $65,000,000. 🙂

Damn. That's crazy.

I am a teacher. Once the principal gave me $20 and told me to go get some plates and napkins. I did a good job of money management there.

THe lab that I work in has 21 state of the art Compaq's. Pentium 3's 600 mhz I think. 64 MB RAM. HA

I'm working for a Professor in the field of Control Systems. I'm thinking of installing CS and renaming it to Control Strike. Think it'll work?

I didn't even know they made 17" LCD monitors!
Seriously, 200K in equipment isn't that much. One of our SANs is worth twice that. And we have several SANs that are all redundant.

We are building a new center. It will have about 180 of these. Each one will be connected to 4-8 19" LCDs. I'll still be using my laptop with one 19" LCD though.
