I've been using Multiplicity for years. No file drag here either, but that's always been trivial for me with network volumes.

I had this idea a while back. Was planning to make a proof-of-concept using a special VNC client that connects to multiple servers at once. Any machine would be able to run any VNC server.

yea ive used this in the past, it and the similar programs are great and were what prompted me to get rid of my KVMs

Really I'm surprised this wasn't a bigger priority for Microsoft before.

I hope they keep developing this as well, it would be great if they'd get it where you could view all the computers on a single monitor. Make it so you can layer the desktops over each other, or set it up however you want (you hit control and flick the mouse and it brings up the next desktop). Maybe integrate all of their storage (you bring up one instance of My Computer and shows the drives of all the computers).

Plus, they could push it further where they share resources (i.e. have one computer do AV scans for all of them. That could be a pretty big feature, where if you have a laptop, you could connect to a desktop at home so you could game on it and just have a thin and light laptop, and you wouldn't need a monitor and keyboard for the other system.

That could also enable higher performance from say having a bunch of small PCs (like Mac Mini sized or smaller), where if you need more performance you'd just buy a small additional one that wouldn't be real expensive. When you need less power it'd put certain ones in standby or turn them off.

Plus think if you could setup one as a game system and so it really doesn't run an OS and so games could be allowed full use of its resources, while the other one would be more typical and you could atl-tab out of a game and have a fully functioning PC. Maybe make that a version so instead of needing full OSes for each one you'd buy a slightly more expensive one that'd run like that on two computers. Then you could have a lightweight main computer for when you're just browsing the web, and then a more powerful one when you wanted to do more.

Used Multiplicity before, & i believe i tried out Synergy too.

Just installed this, and wow, holy mouse lag/weirdness.

No way this is useable. Completely messes with my mouse precision; throws it out the window.

I guess I and my parents are kind of spoiled. They've got their own domain (e-mail only), I've got my own domain...and I think they're configured to allow at least 50MB for file attachments.
