The kindness of people

Sometimes people just step up and surprise you.

My little brother is a platoon leader in Iraq and some members of his platoon don't have much in the way of friends & family, so these guys aren't really getting any mail. I asked around the office and have managed to get most of these guys adopted.

Sorry for the the poor grammar, I'm just happy with the way people have stepped up for these guys.

THat is a very kind and thoughtful thing to do.
I find that we are so often bombarded with negaitivity from the media and the world in general, we forget that there is truly good out there.

Very nice of your office to do that. Sadly, I am too preoccupied with my own life at the moment to set aside any time for these types of things.

Yeah, I'm rather busy myself but my wife and I are going to try to put together a Christmas package for the whole platoon.

It's a great feeling to know you work with good people and things like this are encouraging. 🙂
