The Joy Luck CLub makes me sick to my stomach. It is not an accurate or fair portrayal of Asian Americans, especially of AA males, which that sell out author Amy Tan seeks to demonize.

personally, i'm an asian male and i loved this movie

i saw it three times at least on hbo...loved it every time

i admit now that i think of it, perhaps there was some asian male bashing but i didn't let it get in the way


just like i don't let the numerous plot holes in many many american movies get int he way of enjoying it..

and whoever said the chinese language is an annoying is just a plain and utter idiot...

I didn't think it was a bad movie either, it does run away with the asian-male bashing but most asian societies are rather sexist and chauvanist (sp?). And I'll agree that Chinese is really annoying
